The processes at plasma injection into air from a moderate current (100 A) arc discharge in an eroding capiilar (1 mm) are researched thoroughly with use of various methods of diagnostics and theoretical analysis. All the features of the phenomena (which had been formerly recognized as anomalous) have obtained explanations in terms of plasma physics and hydrodynamics. It is shown that the jet central regions are filled with a strongly ionized plasma with condensed disperse phase, where the volume electron concentration is determined with thermionic emission.
